Accrual accounting

An accounting method that measures a company’s performance by recognizing expenses incurred and income earned in a given period, regardless of whether the expenses and income have been paid or received. This method provides a more accurate representation of the company’s current financial status, as it includes both current cash expenses and income as well as future expected cash expenses and income.
